He then proceeded to drive his car onto the pitch, swerving over the 22-yard strip twice, before stopping. The players and officials were left stunned and quickly had to get out of the car's way.
The incident was a significant security breach and led to a temporary halt in play. The driver, who was reportedly lost and possibly inebriated or mentally distressed, was eventually detained by security and handed over to the police.
